Who am I?

          Let me introduce myself, I am a graphic designer with over 24 years experience at two corporations in a multi-project work environment.

          My background is such that I have done both production and creative work so I am comfortable at both. Previously I was lead designer for several years at AT&T. Working directly with clients and the ability to make them happy is a strong suit. My passion is in creating designs that sell! Im great with customers, keep up to date through classes and constant research of all the trends in design. Im a long time Apple user (even worked briefly at the Apple store) but I'm also very comfortable on a PC.

 

What do I bring to the table?

          With expert knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite, I’ve been a trainer of my peers. A manager when needed and a project leader designing sales collateral for major accounts. This resulted in millions of dollars in sales. Having handled all the high end products for the AT&T/YP Yellow Pages including covers for many years as well as many special projects. Since then I’ve been doing all the sales materials for Clever and working directly with upper management. I’m experienced in working with a sales force other designers marketing but also having direct contact with printers on a daily basis. Further I have years of experience in a production design environment and excel in it.

         Certified by the Macomb Community College Continuing Education program in photography. This gives me the ability to shoot any custom images needed in my work or to shoot new products or portraits as required for my employers needs. Many of my photos were published on AT&T covers. Also I can design publications, direct marketing pieces, flyers, invitations, posters, Post cards and web graphics for facebook and more..

Employment

Clever Container Inc.     April 2014 to Present

Designed printed and web pieces for use in training and company sales. This includes booklets, web banners, social media pieces, flyers, product sell sheets, the company catalog, interactive PDFs, POS display pieces, power point presentations, mini catalog, convention banners, pin buttons, sales forms, and sales collateral. Also setting up and shooting new product photos for use in the catalog and in other media as well as advertising.

 

YP Holdings LLC.  (Formerly Ameritech, SBC and AT&T)     January 1991 to May 2013

During my years there I created and designed the following: covers for 8 states, display, cover and gatefold advertising, Adobe Flash presentations on cds, client specific storyboards, brochures, booklets, power point presentations, B&W and color illustrations, logos, company filler ads, informational guide sections, cover photo ads, tip-on cards, postal card ads and cover photography. Also I was the lead designer for the premium cover group and trained other artists in both the display and cover groups.  I created cover procedures we all used for the creation/processes for covers in not just our region but for the entire company.

 

 Accomplishments

-  Participated in new pilot projects that help bring new products and procedures to the

   live work environment.

-  Given training in color correction, trademark legality, CPR, safety, team building & diversity.

-  Filled in as team leader having had previous experience as a manager.

-  Received 6 AT&T Above and Beyond awards as well as 7 AT&T On the Spot awards through

   recognition of sales and my peers.
